Ik had nooit gedacht dat me dat zou lukken”, reageerde een overgelukkige Scott Brash (29).Als laatste starter bleven Scott Brash en Hello Sanctos als enige foutloos over de twee omlopen op Spruce Meadows. Voor deze overwinning krijgt hij 500.000 dollar. En omdat hij als allereerste ruiter ooit drie manches op rij won, ont- vangt hij nog een bonus van 1 miljoen dollar.In de tweede ronde stond de tijd vrij scherp waardoor meer- dere combinaties nog tijdsfouten maakten. Zo kregen Pieter Devos en Dylano na een sterke ronde één strafpunt voor tijd, waardoor ze strandden op de tweede plaats. Met ook één strafpunt voor tijd werd de Braziliaan Pedro Veniss met Quabri de Lisle derde. Grégory Wathelet leek met Conrad de Hus op weg naar een foutloze ronde. Gedreven om nog binnen de tijd aan te komen, maakten zij nog twee spring- fouten.
