She is ravishingly pretty, very like- able and a lady of style. She is very much in demand as a model and asa host of TV-shows. She is the mum of Raphael and a sincere animal lover. Alizée Poulicek became well-known as Miss Belgium 2008, but few people will know she can look back at a youth career as a jumping horse rider. As Puissance Magazine went out to look for a managing partner and an ambassador, no long search was needed. Let us strike up the acquaint- ance of Alizée.Cavalleria Toscana by EquilookAlizée, what does Miss Belgium do in everyday life?I work as a photo model for fashion photo shoots. In Wallonia I host a TV- show about cinema and film. I am PR woman, take care of the media contacts and deliver presentations for various brands and companies at events. At the moment I am developing the launch of a brand of my own.How did the contact come about between you and Puissance Magazine? As I am active in the world of events,I have been familiar with the event bureau Riketsa for several years. In one of our conversations, I mentioned my former involvement in the equestrian world to Riketsa director Mirko Paglia. By very coincidence he appeared to be starting up an equestrian magazine right there and then. I thought this was terrific and it appealed to my former interest. There is no other equestrian magazine around in Belgium and The Netherlands expanding the energy of the small and gripping niche of eques- trianism into the world of fashion and lifestyle. How much into the world of horses is Alizée Poulicek?I was born in Belgium but have lived abroad most of the time, first in Africa, and subsequently between five and fifteen years of age I spent my life in the Czech Republic. I was fond of animals and I still am, but in the Czech Republic I rather incidentally started horse riding. I lived in the countryside and started riding at a stables nearby. It happened to be the riding school of a well-known Czech rider. That introduced me almost automatically into the more profes- sional side of the sport. I have never really been a recreational rider. Mydad bought me a horse and so I got launched into jumping.7
